The current most wall-blowing FPS is without a doubt "Left 4 Dead", a multiplayer survival & horror game produced by Valve.
According to their figures, more than 3.5 million copies of the game have already been sold, not counting online purchases via Steam, which undoubtedly represents more than 50% of their current sales.
As I was giving a lecture at the Festival du Jeu Vidéo in Paris, I was asked several questions, among which "What other kinds of games [but MMORPG] do you like?" got the immediate answer: First-Person Shooters.
I of course referred to "Left 4 Dead", which I had first played that very morning, before the festival had actually started (there were way too many people, they're planning an enlargement of allotted space for next year's edition).
I guess the game meets the audience's expectations, however one may be disappointed with the lack of two campaigns in Versus mode, but anyway Valve has a habit of updating online content.
As for the video, I don't have much to say. It's kind of an unofficial trailer, and I used the actual game's sounds and voices a lot in order to give myself a guideline and put a certain atmosphere in some parts of the video.
The pictures mostly come from the game's first campaign, so don't watch it if you're allergic to spoilers and you're really feeling like playing it !
