Today, Naxxramas 2009 The Movie is released, it’s the new version of my biggest success. I’m both happy and nervous. I’ve put all my heart in making this movie and I think I did a pretty good job. I really hope you will enjoy it ! No need to tell that I can’t wait for your comments !
When I heard that Blizzard had decided to reopen Naxxramas at level 80, for the latest extension of World of Warcraft, I immediatly saw it as an occasion to have fun one more time ! Indeed, I remember how much pleasure I took by making my first movie on Naxxramas. It’s a beautiful dungeon, encounters are really impressive, and the cutting is real fun because of it’s ‘cuted out’ shape. And of course the various extracts of movies that allowed it to be different from other videos...
This project was very clear for me from the beginning, I didn’t want to make a complete different movie from the last one, I wanted to do it as a remake of it, almost a remasterized version. I made this choice for many reasons, among them the fact that the dungeon itself didn’t change since the last time.
Anyway, to do it I watched the first video a dozen times, to see the angles and musics I had used, in order to inspire myself from them. I also used the same chronology and lenght for each part. This choice could seem bad for some who would say this just shows a lack of inspiration, but in my opinion it’s logical. And I wouldn’t release this video if I didn’t think it was at least as good as the old one. Good point... I think it’s even better than the first one !
We are now in high definition, with a wider quality for a similar weight. Angles of shooting are more detailed and finished, and it was way much longer to make this video by the way. I think musics are still catchy, inspired of those I had chosen in the latest video as I said. There are some percussions in the Abomination Wing for example. I think that the music which contributed the most to my first Naxxramas’ video success was the introductive one ; from the movie Saw, which was used a hundred times since then. Whatever ! I wanted to remake this as well, using of course the new version coming from Saw 4.
I hope that many of you read this article. I wanted to explain myself after all the responses to the trailer there had been. To compare it with a simple copy/paste is not completly wrong, but the aspect of facility it induces bothers me... Especially when this movie took me more time than the first one. I remind you that you can join me on Facebook to discuss of anything and have more informations. I invite you to have a look on this video ! And don’t hesitate to share it among your friends !
IVe watched all of your vids and your first naxxramas movie was so damn awsome... but this one is of the hook. You did a very good job :D

Nice but...
Hello Jack,
firstable i love your videos cause they designed very well. But Naxx 2009 seems only an update for me. Where are such nice particle effects like in sunwell video? but very nice wiggle effects and maybe a little use of tiwtch :-)
but truly an epic work, go for it.
btw i dont find the first sample from the saw theme that you used in the trailer (the slowly saw theme), which is this music piece called?
I have to say, though, while of high-quality, the old Naxxramas movie is still better. Ever since the Ashbringer was removed from Naxxramas, the place feels a great deal less epic. The Ashbringer scenes in the old Naxxramas movie really sold it to me. Without them, this movie suffers as a result.
If you ever decide to revisit this movie, maybe you could include some scenes connecting the Death Knight starter quest with the Ashbringer here -- they're certainly relevant.
Anyway, props to you, man, for a job well done.

Very nice production, although i HAVE to admit that the first video was a lot better, maybe because it was the first one and this one was similar to that, maybe because naxx was worth it those days and it was really great to hear all those shouts at vent after KT death, who knows :P
I enjoyed this one as well though :))

I've been watching your videos since MC (and playing WoW since then of course) and liked them all, Classic-Naxx and SWP being my favourites.
So, now I'm looking foward to the release of Ulduar - and your video of Ulduar ;-)

Well, its certainly far from bad, but also far from the original one.
The original one was far more better music, better speach-timing (ive DLed french AS english) and a better 'wow'-factor.
Keep up the good work, tho i want some real epic Jack movies ;)
cheers
